'86 5000 window replacement

I had that happen in my 87 4kq, on thanksgiving morn.

If the 5000 it like the 4000.  It is a simple procedure.  Remove door
panel, etc.
Then remove the plastic skin.  After that, remove the old window
parts....The bottom of window that is still in the car.
After that, clean the inside of door out, Shop Vac is your friend.

Then put the window in from the inside of the door, interior side,
slide it carefully in.  Then after that, line up holes.  Hand tighten
bolts to hold window down, then give just a little snug with a
wrench..Rember this is glass.

Play with adjustments, and your done.  Took me about 30 mintues to do,
in a non-heated garage.

Again, Im not sure if the 5000 doors are like the 4000 doors, but if
so, it isn't bad at all.

Howdy,
Haven't been on the list in a while but my Bentley
isn't helping much on this one:
Some a$$hole recently helped them selves to my stereo
and took out my passenger window to get it. The
Bentley manual doesn't seem to cover removal of the
windows from the doors. Anybody have a procedure, or
at least suggestions about what I should or should not
try to pry off?
