Hi All,
Sunday, I experienced my first lapping day on ice and snow at Mecaglisse
(www.mecaglisse.com). Holy *#^(*)!, was it fun!
My Hakka2-shod 4kq loved it, and kept up with those pesky Imprezas (TS, RS,
WRX...). I had such a good time, I'm going back for a school in 2 weeks. I
only required one tow out of a snowbank all day, but helping others
extricate themselves was part of the fun anyways. The local Subie club
hosted the day. They're all a great bunch of rally freaks.
If Steamboat is anything like this (though probably on a much bigger scale.
We had 8 cars in the AM, and a couple more in the afternoon. 6 hours of
track time!) then I understand the enthusiasm generated by it!
The course was 2.5 km (1.5 miles) in length with a good 30 feet in elevation
change, 2nd and 3rd gear. I locked both diffs and smiled all day.
I'm hooked.
Cheers,
Brady Moffatt
