Michael, and Jenny, of course, and the list
I'm truly blessed in many ways, but Lyn is the greatest of those. One of
her many good attributes is her attitude toward her cars. Once a week,
sometimes more, she's at the shop door with a request to check the oil. I
do that, and the lesser monitored stuff too. She can feel when a tire is 3
or 4 pounds low, and isn't afraid to say so. She asks, I do. It works for
us, it can work for anybody committed to a relationship. Some people aren't
comfortable when confronted with a mechanical challenge, no matter how
trivial it may seem to others. I have met many male customers over the
years who shouldn't be allowed near a hood latch, yet they seem compelled by
our culture to be knowledgeable about cars. Their efforts to appear so are
generally costly! IMO, you do what it takes to get along in life, and this
particular subject is one of those common stumbling blocks that is most
easily overcome. John
"Wohoo! How great (and helpful) to hear a woman's perspective! (and here I
t=
hought my seeming male-chauvinist "let me take care of the car" attitude wa=
s going to get me flamed)."............ Big Snip..................
