Help!
I'm trying to hook up an Autometer A/F gauge to my MAC 11'd Ur-q with not
much success.
Simple connection really, the gauge has three wires: red - 12v, black -
ground and purple - O2 sensor signal.
I tried taping into the 12v terminal at the electronic ignition and the
gauge just lit up at several spots along the scale which is not correct. I
assumed there was something wrong with the gauge and sent it back to
Autometer who very kindly replaced it. Tried my new one, same hook up, same
results. I don't think I could have gotten two bad gauges. have I blown
them?
I have check all my sources of power/grounds with a voltmeter and all is
cool. My WG frequency valve is connected to this terminal and is working.
Also the car will not start with the gauge connected this way. When I move
the red wire to another 12v source the car starts but the gauge acts as
before. Should I make all my connections at the ECU?
Has anybody successfully hook one of these up to a Q?
TIA
Lino
