Replacement Performance Tires (was: flat tire)

Yeah, I have to agree - I like Kuhmos. I had the Ecsta 712's on my M3 and
they held up great. They are a performance tire but they are not sticky.
The stickier they are, the faster they wear (as a general rule). The 712 is
worthless in the snow but excellent in the rain. They wore evenly and the
construction was good.
Don't think by buying a more expensive or a more widely accepted brand that
you will get a better tire. I have had construction problems with Goodyears
(will never buy one again), Bridgestone (generally good though) and Pirelli.
I bought the Kuhmos based on the feedback on tirerack.com. There is
customer feedback on almost every tire - a great resource.
Good luck,
David K.
'90 CQ - currently shod with Hakka 1's, new 17" Kuhmo 712's coming this
