New Alternator Belt sounds like a Supercharger

hope you get this before your trip. the Bentley says (for 5cyl) that a new alt belt should deflect 2mm approx and used 5mm approx.  I've just replaced all me belts (tb & water pump too) and i have the supercharger sound too.  dunno if  i should back off the tension a bit, b/c getting near 2mm almost broke/stripped the sprocket.

Javad, is this another place to ignore the bentley??  Like where it says to remove radiator and fan shroud as one unit . . . per your advice i ignored that and made my life _much_ easier :)
