"Dummy" Fog lamp lenses next to flasher lamps in Audi 4000, 1985-87

Hi,

I'm Mike Jackson of Casting Fool & Son, in Augusta, GA.  We specialize in
casting miniatures, but we sometimes do replacement lenses for older and
antique vehicles.

This morning, a new client called and asked if we could do the "dummy" fog
lamp lenses that are located next to the flasher lamps in the bumpers of
Audi 4000's, model years 1985-87.

Because we maintain a very strict copyright recognition policy, I need to
confirm two things: 1. That the lenses are no longer available from any OEM
supplier, and that, 2. That the lenses are not currently available from
another reproduction lens supplier.

A Google search, this afternoon, did not turn up any OEM or after-market
source for the lenses.

If anyone here has definite knowledge related to either or both of the two
questions outlined above, we would like to request that they contact us.

The client expressed the need for the lens insert itself, but we also
discussed the need for the "frame" that the lens fits into and that allows
the assembly to be fastened to the vehicle.  We're currently working out the
costs that the client could expect for the reproduction of the lenses.

If there is no copyright issue to resolve, we would accept this client's
commission to reproduce the lenses (and/or frames).  If the number of
clients interested in the lenses was great enough, we would consider
absorbing the cost of the tooling ourselves, which would greatly reduce the
cost of the lens sets.
