Its nice to see someone wanting to keep trim parts like this around! Thanks!

Hi Kenny,

First estimate for the lenses ran around $80.00 per set. But it didn't
include the "frame" bit. As soon as I see some pics of the entire assembly
(client is sending them), I'll have a better idea what the entire thing will
run. If that sounds expensive, please understand that we're absorbing the
initial tooling cost ourselves to keep the price down (the tooling will run
from $300.00 to $600.00 USD).

We may also market the lenses and frames separately. It really depends on
how the thing goes together, and I won't know that until I'm able to study
the part in detail.

Custom reproductions are usually on the high side of what most folk expect.
I did a scale model of Fort Gregg (Petersburg, VI), the first of a line of
1:60 scale historical fortifications that we're doing, The research labor
alone ran into the thousands of dollars, but yet we're marketing the forts
for $128.00 retail. We'll probably never see the Gregg kits break even, but
we're counting on them to be enough to interest folk in the rest of the
line. Sort of an investment in the future.

... and yes, I truly enjoy being a toymaker. Even when the toys are great
big ones, like Audi's. :O)
