Multifun Switch?

A few years ago I relayed/e-coded the 87 5ktq headlights and replaced the
multifunction switch on the steering column. Yesterday the high beams
stopped responding to my demands. Low beams work normally. Yet, the dash
light beam-indicator shows blue when I flick on the highs, as though the
high beams were on. Voltmeter shows no current to the trigger circuit of
the high-beam relay.

If the blue dash light also means the multifunction switch is working, then
I can start tracking down the fault in the harness between it and the
relay. Since the MF switch is only a few years old, and has run with only
trigger loads, I favor a harness fault as a likely sporce of the problem.

Ideas appreciated.
