Mike,

Exactly my sentiments. I don't want a car payment over my head for somethi=
ng that depreciates so fast. And I'd rather be called "cheap" than have a =
$300 per month car payment for X years.

My price range is $3k-5$k, something I can pay off within a year and I sure=
I can find something reasonable in that range that will last at least 60k =
miles with little maintenance other than oil changes, brakes and the odd CV=
 joint.

Now actively looking at Audi's, Subuies and Jeep Wranglers. Hopefully some=
thing will show up.

	I have evidently developed a reputation here . . . ;-)

It isn't that I'm cheap, and it isn't that I love crawling around in the
broiling sun feeding the mosquitoes under old, rusty, greasy, pentosin
soaked cars precariously balanced on old beer cases and fragile cinder
blocks, it's just that I find all of the above to be INFINITELY superior t=
o
talking to car dealers and monkey lads . . . and I simply don't want to
have a car payment if I can possibly avoid it (and I have avoided it for
the last ten years - 120 months times say $300 a month, give or take, is
$36,000 . . . which is why I have an airplane - paid for, several
motorcycles - same, and some slums - almost paid for - instead of a shiny
car which costs more to insure than my old Audi, too).

Mohammed, you've been here a LONG time, and we'd hate to lose you, so even
if you get a new(er) Audi, we certainly look forward to hearing from you.

And I agree with you about the time factor - sometimes there just isn't an=
y
	to spare.

	Best Regards,

	Mike Arman
