You find a 3/8" socket that fits snugly in the rounded mess of a plug,
grind it down so that the 'socket' is just deep enough to accept the
entire 3/8" ratchet fitting, and weld it into the stripped plug. Worked
like a champ on the 90tq. The 016 tranny had taken the plugs captive and
mutilated the hex's in them. Couple of donor sockets fixed both plugs
right up and makes it a snap for next time, you know, in like 150k when I
need to do anything again....
