Hi guys,
Big thanks to everyone who responded (you know who you are), I now know
how to get the buzzer working again (annoying but hey I've already returned
to my car to find the stereo blaring once already) and for the switched
supply have a number of lines of attack available and if it wasn't for house
renovations I'd be tackling it this weekend.. however the knowledge is now
in my inbox and thats what counts. In case anyone's interested the unit is a
Kenwood 39something (4?) radio/cassette that at least fits nicely and
sounds ok even in cassette mode, and with a CD changer that I've not even
got out the box yet. The old blaupunkt was not even worthy of the four
modest speakers in the car!
All the best,
rob
