89 80 headliner removal

I appears there is a leak in the sunroof area of my latest Audi, the 89 80.
The back half of the headliner is shot, and the area behind the drivers
seat is wet (and the only source of recent water that could have caused it
is me washing the car.)  I assume the drain tube is leaking or clogged on
the rear drivers side of the sunroof.

So, at the very least I need to remove the headliner and put some new
fabric on it; and fix the leak.  The problem I've come across is removing
the sunvisors and clips.  There are no visible screws, and I've tried
pulling on them as hard as I dare (I remember these pieces being very
fragile in my previous 4k and Coupe.)  So how do you get these items
out?  I have the rest of the trim loose (side trim, entry handles and
sunroof control panel) so this is the only thing holding me (and the
headliner,) up on this project.

Also, anyone know of a source for headliner material (not generic, I know
about upholstery shops, Audi material specific?)
