One rear Fog light [VAG-COM] Digest Number 1131

Seems like each of us lurk on MANY different list here to keep in tune with
our VAG products.
Just recently mom's a4 caught the eye of my brother for one light in the
back.
So he popped the lens and drilled out the plastic to insert another bulb and
wire them together.
(His Audi is an 86 4000Q) When I came by i pointed out that the dash "fog"
switch was one and the reason for the ONE light.
Now she TWO.

No, it's not penny-pinching.  There is only one rear fog light for
a reason.  It is to make it distinguishable from brake lights.
All German cars that have rear fog lights has it only on one side.
