Type 44 - front license plate bracket (US)

I disagree. I fixed the front plate on my son's T44 just last Monday, and
checked the 3 in the lot here today. ALL have the 1/2" diameter holes in
the front bumper cover. The plate holders have a nipple which extends
snugly into the hole, and 2 15mm long 5mm screws hold the plate holder to
the bumper, fitting down inside that nipple. In fact, my 90 20v uses the
same holder (got it from a T44 in a boneyard). The T44s here are all CA
cars, but the 90 is from VA. John

No, they have neither, having owned two type 44s :-)

The bumper cover and bumper core(aluminum beam) have to be drilled;
it's probably easiest to pull the front bumper(two hex bolts on the
underside, disconnect/remove the turn signals FIRST!) and work on it
that way. Go stainless steel or nylon hardware, and drill the hole
through the cover as small as possible, or the next owner will feel
like hurting you(I have dime-sized holes in my front bumper, and I'd
like to punch the PO).
