A4 Symphony Radio question

Hello all,
Sorry for sending this to two lists at once, but I'm looking for a quick
answer tonight to this question.
I have a 2001.5 A4 1.8T Quattro, with what I believe is the Symphony Radio
(AM/FM/CD/Tape). The dealer left me a message on my machine today saying
that he's going to replace the radio to fix a problem with the rear frost
causing noise on the AM stations (he originally was replacing the Antenna
booster, which is in the C-pillar right next to the rear-defrost, as that's
what the computer said the problem was, but it didn't fix the noise, so now
he said they're changing the whole radio for me. That's nice of them).
Anyways, I was just wondering if anyone knew if the new Symphony II radio in
the new 2002+ A4's, the one with the 6-disc indash cd-changer (on the
Quattro models) would be a direct drop-in replacement for the older A4
radio? If so, perhaps I can convince him when he's ordering a new radio, to
order the newer model, and I'll split the difference (if it's not too
outrageous a price).
Not that I really need the 6-disc player, as I rarely play CDs anyways, but
I thought what the hell, might as well ask if anyone knows if it even fits,
and if so, maybe I can get myself a nice upgrade.
So, if anyone happens to know for a fact that it fits, let me know. Thanks!
