Drag racing times

Hi Taka,

Hey, no disrespect intended to Mark.

This has got to be another one of those that don't do well in email but are
just fine in person. I seem to have trouble with that, but I digress :-)

You claimed an 11 second S4tt couldn't be had for $30k of effort.

I took everything I knew about cars, Javad, life, the universe, and put it
through the Bernard filter and came up with that you were incorrect about a
$30k 11 second S4tt being possible.

Perhaps Mark spent $90k. I bet not all of that went to making a one off 11
second S4tt. In any case, it did not weigh into my assessment.

There is a huge difference between someone building a car that can do 11
seconds, and building a product that someone else can install into their car
that will make it do 11 seconds. I think that is the difference between
Javad and Mark.

Perhaps it was the quote about engineers that you found offending to Mark --
I can see where it could be taken that way. That's not how I meant it.
Javad has done some very good engineering to attain what he has in his 80tq.
My point was that good sound engineering can make things happen for a lot
less than most people (perhaps Taka :-) might expect. In the end I guess I
owe you an apology, although I didn't mean to imply fool in any way. It's
just a quote.

Best,

Bernard Littau
