When I had my 66 GTO .060 over 389 with tripower I went through 11
clutches, 2 rear ends and innumerable ujoints in 2 years. With a 3.08
rear I could get 20 mpg hwy. When the other 2 carbs cut in I got 8...
But it was a very fast 8 mpg...
454 is a GM big block. Mopar(s) came with 318, 340 4 barrel, 340 six
pack, 440 4 bbl, 440 six pack and 426 hemi. It pays to know your
competition.
The only thing that ever nailed my goat was a 66 Chevelle with a Ed Pink
built 396. Damn that car was quick.
