Crimping vs. soldering

Personally, to get a good crimp connection, I believe the following
conditions must be obtained:

1) The crimp must be performed by a person wearing a silk smoking jacket,
vintage 1925-1939, with twin dragons emblazoned on the lapels; silk pyjama
pants and wool slippers should complete the ensemble;
2) The crimp operator must have at hand a slightly chilled bottle (45
degrees F) of a pleasant J-Riesling;
3) The temperature must be between 65 and 72 degrees F;
4) Background music must be provided, preferably Handel's "The Seasons" or
Beethoven's "Pastoral";
5) The crimp should be performed in a scrupulously clean garage.

With those conditions, WHO CARES what the equipment is ??????????????????

Soldering?

- Same conditions, substitute khakis or well-laundered jeans for the pants,
a nice soft golf shirt for the smoking jacket. Beverage of choice is a Fat
Tire or Shiner Bock beer served at 34 degrees F with small drops of
condensation rolling slowly down the sides of the bottle.

Once again, who cares about the gear? Enjoy the drinks and the music and
put off the work till tomorrow.
