89 200tq 10v noisy clutch bearing?

Thanks to all that responded.

Nate was right that it had nothing to do with the clutch.  I suspected the
release bearing because the noise comes from within the bell housing.  Steve
and Eric were on the right track.
Steve,  your check for the vacuum leak was right on the money.  The dipstick
did hardly alter the noise but  oil filler cap trick eliminates the noise
every time.
Now that I know what it is.  A  couple more questions.  How long can this go
for before it becomes a problem?  What are the risks if any?

Steve you said that Stephane did it himself.  Do I know Stephane?  Does he
go to the Pump?
