Dear Audi gurus:

The subject is a '96 A6Q sedan with about 143,000 miles, which is
mostly driven on weekends only by my wife. For the past three weeks
or so, she has reported that on several occasions, when it is started
up, the computer displays (mpg, etc.), turn signals, air-conditioner,
and perhaps other functions are inoperable. When she turned it off
and back on, everything appeared to be back to normal (and the car
ran fine as usual). No other noticeable symptoms. Today, after normal
driving, it would not start back up. The starter is working okay, but
it does not seem to be getting any fuel (& yes the tank is full).

Any tentative diagnoses?

Thanks a lot,
Dave Nelson

Sounds like a bad ignition switch to me.
