Doyt,

This is a great list. Be sure to put it in the knowledgebase!

I've gone through most of those things, not all, and I'm leaning toward
the water pump as the culprit. Heck it's time for a timing belt change
anyway.

This has probably been leaking for some time and just masked in volume
by the aux. pump with the cracked snouts.

I totally agree about the head gasket. It never was a candidate as there
were no symptoms like cross contamination with oil or h2o. And with the
new injectors, "Yacht" starts quickly and purrs like a kitten.

Thank you, Dave, Nick and James for the input.

I just wish someone had more knowledge about the after run control unit.
Perhaps the silence means it isn't usually an issue so I'll just go
after the ground connections this evening.

Bruce
