No, it's a Mazda Protege, 4 cyl, modified to SCCA Speed Touring Cup
standards. I believe (don't recall, not enough interest to look it up)
that it
is a 2.0 ltr or 1.8. Did you watch the Speed GT Cup race afterwards?
How about the launch of the RS6? It's pretty incredible. Too bad the
heavy pig (compared to it's competitors) seems to use up it's tires after
a few laps. Damn quick for a few laps, then everyone catches up when
the tires go away.
BTW, Shauna was the first woman to ever win an open (as opposed to
"Ladies") SCCA Solo2 Championship at Nationals back a few years ago.
At the time, she was driving a Camaro SS in E-Street Prepared. Now that
she's driving a FWD Mazda pretty competitively, she is showing her
versatility.
Rather impressive.

Just watching the incar from Shawna Marinus?sic in a
Mazda. Is this the new 6? Is this a hotrod or what.
Sounds like a 4 cyl. or a chainsaw. What are they
running, 9 or 10k? Is that a V6? 2.5 or 3L? Anyone
know?
