upper neck pop on AKG

Who had their upper radiator hose neck pop off on an
AKG replacement radiator?  All this talk about the
captive nuts in the lower mounts caused me to really
look at my AKG that popped.  The plastic on the hose
bib is narrowed considerably.  Also the plastic in
this area is brittle.  This was right where the hose
clamp was.  The rest of the radiator is fine.  I can
find no marks claiming ownership.  Only a yellow 5/30
stamped in ink on the top rail.  I think these might
have been expatriated tooling setups.  Brazil maybe?
The one in my 200 now is a GERMAN made AKG.  At least
that's what the box and radiator say.  The old (98?)
radiator has no markings.

shows a "NEW" AKG radiator with all it's decals and
i.d.  The fit is perfect.  So far all is good.  I do
check that failure area quite often and it's fine on
this radiator.
