A6 brake wear sensor needed

Help!

I need a brake wear sensor for a '95 A6...doesn't matter whether it's new or
used, I just need the plug and some wire that extends to the pad.

If you've recently done a pad change and have the old sensors kicking
around, please let me know.

My current set of brake pads (Hawk HPS) didn't have a hole drilled for the
brake pad wear sensor, so I ziptied the wire up away from the wheel and
rotor (or so I thought). One got away and now I've got a brake pad indicator
on my dash.

Took me a bit to figure it out...at first I thought the car was just fooling
around, till I pulled the wheel and saw that while the connector was still
attached, the wire had been worn away. It was intermittent for a while, but
then the wire physically got disconnected from the sensor cap itself and I
can't short it.

Let me know...I'd appreciate it if you have a spare, new or used, and could
send it to me!

BTW, what do people do with these - do you drill the pads and install the
sensor, or do you permanently short the sensor and just fuhgetaboutit?

Thanks,

Lee
