All this talk about ISV and hoses has me rethinking this mess under my hood=
, so I'll throw it out for some help:
I replaced the ISV due to the idle surge, it was used but many times better=
than the old one. I still have power issues at times, such as a hesitation=
on first take off and slow throttle response. The air/fuel mix was redone =
when other issues were repaired not too long ago. The hoses are also new, b=
oth the short one and the long one have been replaced. So I guess the quest=
ion would be, could these power issues be caused by an old ISV? It has been=
cleaned thoroughly, and if I have to spend the $180 or so for new, I am ho=
ping to be sure. The other part is, if anyone has one of these and the cons=
tant hissing from what I can only assume is the manifold? I have asked a co=
uple people locally who have owned or worked on them, and they have said th=
is is normal. I can't find any leaks in hoses, even after replacing a flat =
one it persisted. I can't get to where the short vac hose connects without =
a lot of work, but I don't think it is leaking around that. So if this soun=
d is normal, please let me know.

Thank you.
Bob
