Javad,

It would be _dang_ interesting to know if the Fram filter on the Champion
car was selected based upon the filter's quality and performance, or
advertiser support? Any "Fram" stickers on the car?

I was torn when Fram replied to my query that their filters indeed include
check-valves. I'm still too fearful of them, even with the valve, to let
them protect my engines. The cost of OEM filters is TINY WRT engine rebuild
cost.

Regards,
 ~ Doug

Sure, its likely, granted the "failures" here on these lists aren't very
well documented or even tested as to the true mode of failure... I've never
had a problem with a Fram filter personally, I wasn't making any assertions
in the original post, just pointing it out, like I say, make your own
conclusions.

Well, wonders never cease, today while pawing under the hood of a N.
    American
Audi Sport/Champion Racing RS6, sure enough, there it was, your over the
counter Kragen Style Fram PH2870, sitting as orange as can be. Even had
the
    high
performance "grip top" cannister...make your own conclusions.
