Congratulations on passing 300,000 km (186,411 mi).

I have had the oil warning beep happen on sharp turns, but only once or
twice.  My guess is that the oil sloshes away from the oil pickup in the
pan and you do actually get a brief loss of oil pressure.  This is not
something I would want to do on a regular basis, but once in a while should
not hurt anything, especially since I use a good synthetic like Amsoil.  If
it happened frequently, I would investigate modifying the inside of the oil
pan with an improved splash shield.

It sounds like you had a great trip. At 300,000 km your car is barely
broken-in.  It still amazes me how much I like to drive these old Audis,
even with the occasional maintenance requirements.

I LOL every time I hear someone refer to a car with a mere 100,000 miles
(160,934 km) as high mileage.
