Hi all,
this is a follow-up for the archives: See below for symptoms, it got worse
since April but I fixed it this morning when I replaced the ignition wires
and plugs. The car sctually began to stumble and sputter... I need to put
hose clamps around that intercooler though...

Hi Chris,
Sounds like a leak in the air intake system between the output of the turbo
and the intake manifold. It is quite likely that you blew your intercooler
or one of the hoses. All the popping and such is likely from running way to
rich due to loosing metered air.
Check the intercooler and Michelin man hose for starters.
