I had a bad leak on my Cq after timing belt repalcement. I did the work
myself (with the help of a friend) so we couldnt exactly take it back
either. A quick inspection showed that one bolt that holds among others
the alt. bracket had been looseend and not tightened again. This bolt
goes through the oil pump housing, and as such created a leak. I
tightened the bolt, and the leak was gone, thank god!

>Well, as you kow I had a timing belt job done. It consisted of timing belt, water pump w seal, crank seal, and all accessory belts. Now I seem to have an oil leak at the front of the engine. My eduicated guess is the crank seal. When I told the shop about the leak they said, yeak I was going to mention that the aluminum housing housing that you pound the seal into is cracked, was cracked when you brought it in. Seems fishy to me, it didn't leak before. Thoughts? Should I push it and tell them it didn't leak before and I expect it to not leak now? Or should I just let it go knowiung that this is a 15+ year old car and sh1t happens...?
