still no spark

Luke,
Because you have the dizzy pointing the right way with the engine at TDC
doesn't mean that it's the correct TDC phase for cyl 1. You also need to
check the mark on the back side of the cam wheel. There is a little window
in the rear timing belt cover, where the valve cover and head meet on the
spark plug side of the head. You should see a thin line in back of the cam
gear line up with the valve cover gasket when the engine is at the proper
TDC position. Otherwise your dizzy is 180 degrees out. IF you can't see
that mark another way to tell if you are on compression TDC is to pop off
the valve cover and look at the two cam lobes for Cyl 1, they should both
be pointing upwards.

BTW... you have tried to pull the fault codes from the ECU at least...
haven't you? :-P Not that the KH ecu will tell you much, but it can at
least let you know if it is registering information from the distributor,
and if it is within range. See Scotts site for pulling the codes:
