Hey Alan, I don't have any hard facts or calculations to base on, but if I was going to do it I'd use 1.5" alum tubing with a length of about 3-6 inches, and an intake volume of about 1.5 liters or so.
In a turbo application, the long runner pulse tuning isn't as critical as in a NA application. Granted, with a bigger volume runner low speed gas flow will lose velocity, but the overall flow during boost conditions will more than make up for the low rpm, off boost loss.
If you're trying to build a good streetable torque motor, its probably best to run the stock manifolds and a K24 turbo. But if you're wanting to make a lot of power out of small displacement, you need to start giving up that low end power.
