For New England SCCA:
www.ner.org
www.nescc.org (independent club, but sanctions with the SCCA)
I've only been to the Fort Devens site in Ayer (and Bayside
Expo Center in Boston, but they don't run there anymore).
Devens is a good site - runways, asphalt, I've always enjoyed
events at Devens.
Colorado:
www.rmsolo.org - all of the Colorado/Front Range SCCA events
are listed here.
www.ppscc.net - smaller club. Lots of fun, lots of runs.
Colorado sites - World Arena is good, decent sized lot, some
hilly bits, can be sandy for early rungroups.
Coors Field is LONG and narrow - 1400+ feet of usable asphalt,
but only 300' wide at its widest. Big events at CF, and due
to the fact that we need to start cars every 30ish seconds,
the courses tend to be very offsetty/slalomy out, turnaround,
offsetty/slalomy back. A good site, but the shape limits
creativity for courses.
PPIR - not sure if we have any more down there, but the back lot
is very good. Another sandy-in-the-morning lot.
DIA/Mt Elbert lot - as far as I know, we're only holding the
Tour and Pro there. Concrete, smooth, grippy, an excellent site.
Event this weekend at World Arena! Preregistration is required.
Go to www.rmsolo.org to register(I believe it is open to register
until Thursday).
Nationally:
www.scca.org, click on Region Locator, look for Solo2 stuff.
There are a lot of non-SCCA clubs out there - I simply don't
know them.
Look for me at local events - I currently drive an H Stock
Rabbit GTI, or a soon to be completed FSP BMW 2002. Colorado
has a great Solo program - if you're interested in autocrossing
in Colorado, contact me!
