4kcsq Fuel Filter Frustration Gone! (sort of)

I believe I paid all of $450.00 for Pump, regulator, filters...Mounts,
etc. Not a bad investment. Now I know if I develop a new problem..Odds
are real good it has nothing to do with that part of the engine
mangement system.
A little piece of mind!

You are "supposed" to use new ones. It is more reassuring to do so.
But, if it is all sealed up with the old ones and staying dry, you're
fine. I know I'll hear corrections if I am wrong...

You should be able to get them for $180, I think. Ok, maybe plus
shipping...

Unless I was running a junker, ie, minimal investment, I would never
bother to put a used fuel pump on. IE, if I like the car and want
"the
most" from it, it gets a new fuel pump... and filter, little black
plasic hoses, even a new regulator. They're good for ten years,
easlily, so why not make the whole assembly new? Um, maybe the $400
or
so investment, I suppose. But it is worth it.
