Engine swap

Never done the swap, but if you're convinced that your 12v is nowhere near as powerful as an older 10v na, there is something not right with your v6. While it's not an efi'd 10v turbo, the v6 is no slouch in the smaller cars ime.
I'd suggest a thorough going over of the engine, and making sure that everything is working to spec before ripping the engine out and performing major surgery. Not to say that a V-8 wouldn't be fun.
I've got an extremely low mileage engine in my 93' 90 (has about 30k on it) due to the ineptitude of an oil change joint that the previous owner used (I bought the car immediately after the engine was replaced), and I can say nothing bad about the engine. It pulls very strongly, and has excellent high rpm response. It's got a greak kick to it when the engine hits about 4k rpm, and things open up.
If you are stuck on the idea, I think there were some pictures of some later coupes that had such a swap performed, that surfaced on the list a few months back.
Good Luck!
