Seems I read that before too. Interestingly, once you convert your system to R134a, you can then legally convert to duracool (except in those states where flammable refrigerants are illegal). You can buy it at:

No experience with Freeze 12. But my reading seams to indicate that r406a (autofrost.com) is probably better.
