Refrigerant and rebuilding AC (In defense of Durocool)

Hi Bernard,
I put Freeze 12 in my 90 100Q last summer without doing all of the required
o-ring, expansion vale and drier changes. It worked great 100 degree 100%
humidity my family was nice and cool. Unfortunately I have to now do the
required o-ring, expansion vale and drier changes because the system slowly
leaked over the winter. It still works but it is slow to cool in upper 70
degree New England weather. Luckily I have 3 cans of Freeze 12 left to
recharge. By the way Freeze 12 is - R134A that has additives that make it
easier on R12 systems to compress the gas. The only bad thing is if you
wanted to take the car to an A/C shop the won't touch a Freeze 12 car.
Cheers,
Ray
