Hey Dave!

This is what you should do:

Buy a Urq with the same color of your CGT
Put the CGT in a storage (for future use)
Swap plates, head unit, etc.
Claim: "These fenders were always this way, honey!"

Cheers,

Carlos

>I'll add my $.02 to this. My wife thought I was crazy when I gave up my
nicely modded 98 Passt GLS 1.8T in 2001 to drive my 87 CGT 2.3 full time. I
had always wanted a Special Build and a pretty sad but pretty low mileage one
that needed a good home showed up in the paper. Even though he was asking way
to much for it based on how much work it needed, I took pity on it and made it
mine. In reality I should have paid about 1/2 what I did, but I'm a sucker for
CGTs that need a loving home. She still thinks I'm nuts. And I'll admit,
sometimes so do I, but when everythings working right and she is freshly
detailed, the ear-to-ear grin that the CGT brings to my face every time I even
see her is greater than the grin the Passat brought the day I drove it off the
lot in November 1997. When things go wrong she has a habit of calling the CGT
a piece of junk, but when it works right, she loves it almsot as much as I do.
Now if I could just convice her that we need to adopt a needy Urq...
