My experience is about the same as yours. As soon as I get one thing
fixed something else breaks so I never get the chance to take a weekend
and clean up the poor old girl ;-)  My solution is to have a second car
that I will start rebuilding soon replacing everything that I had to
replace on my daily driver. That way I may get a few months of trouble
free driving ... I hope.

And, Yes, in the case of my '87 5kcdtq, I do love her. She has spoiled
me for so many other cars that don't have the refined ergonomics.
