Ladies and Gentleman,
Here was the question I asked of European Car:
-------------------------
Rosa,
As articles older then 1998 are no longer available, I cannot get back
issues of the articles I'm interested in; mainly project 4kq.
I have found someone who has scanned the pages of these articles onto his
computer for his own use, he long ago recycled the magazines.
Is it an infringement on your copyrights if these articles are posted on a
website, with full disclosure as to which magazine/volume/issue the articles
come from? This would be the only way to share past articles, as you do not
carry back issues for the years in question.

---------------------------
And the response I recieved in full:
David,
Unfortunately, we cannot release the rights of back issue articles. You may
use it for individual purposes, but not publish it on the web.
You may be able to find some back issues in auction sites (like ebay.com).
Thank you for your interest,

So it appears to me that we are able to email the darned articles back and
forth, but are not able to post them up to a website for all to see. How
ridiculous!!
Sigh. Anyways, Mark can you email me the scanned articles privately?
