Well I was told that the compressor on the 80 was bad when I got the car, but they were wrong. I noticed the clutch wasn't engaging, then noticed that there was a very "custom" looking wire going from the clutch over the valve cover, through the firewall and dead ending under the dash. I have to assume somebody just put a switch in to turn on the compressor, then apearently took the switch out. I put a test light on the facory clutch wire and can't get juice, but the fans still turn on and all so the factory switch is still good. Where does the factory a/c clutch wire go to from the compressor? I tested for it at the wire harness that goes to the factory switch and couldn't find it. For the time being I guess I'll wire in a switch until I can figure out how to fix it the right way.
