i'm assuming y ou bought a head unit and not an amplifier.. but im sure the
stock 16ishg gauge wiring would be sufficient currect-wise. head unit power
ratings are usually a BIT optimistic, to say less than the least. but i
usually wire a sep 30 amp relay to run the radio off of battery power with
an 8 or 10awg wire to the relay.

also - probably better to not use the ground wire in the car's radio harness
[who knows how long it takes to get to the chassis, and we all know how
super audi's wiring work was..], run a short ground from the radio to a nice
solid chassis mount - a beefy underdash support outta do it. ive found that
this often helps with ground related whine from the headunit - esp in cars
where a plug n play department-store style install was done.

<<hi, just bought a stereo of ebay, its 4x60 watts (4x27 rms i believe).
Will
the standard power wiring be up to that? >>
