MC Master Cylinder heat causing brakes to apply.

This sounds similar to what happened to my '88 5ks.  They calipers would gradually get tighter and tigher on the rotor until I was flooring it to keep up my speed at 55 mph.  I replaced everything before I did the MC: brakes, rotors, calipers, fluid, slave.  It was only after I replaced the MC that everything cleared up.  So, replace (or rebuild?) your MC so you won't get locked up in traffic and be unable to move.  It wasn't pretty.
