scott- i had the same thing happen to a set of eurolights i bought  - they
were damaged in shipping. I filed a claim thru fedex and even though theyve
been a REAL pita about it, it looks like they are going to pay me out $250
to replace the lamp.

have you tried pursuing a claim thru the shipper - if it was insured?
