Haydn Taylor Morning Dave, Thanks for the reply. I saw the shots on your site
a couple of weeks ago - very nice work, and exactly the sort of thing I am
looking at doing. I am located in New Hampshire (hence not starting this
project until the spring when it warms up a bit) At present I am keeping my
options open regarding what type of racing I intend to do. As I mentioned this
will be a toy rather than a serious race vehicle. I will probably start out
with some basic drags to dial the thing in, although I will be building it to
be switchable between rallying (tarmac and forest), and track use (Loudon
etc), potentially some autocross too ...then maybe some ice racing next
winter. So the key is to get as much weight as possible out of it, then set up
the suspension and brakes nicely, and finally take the motor to a reasonable
but not ridiculous level of tune. Cheers Haydn >From: Dave Hord >To: Haydn
