Jason,
I had my first experience with Audi rear brakes this past weekend. All came
off well, but the darn pistons refused to be pressed into the caliper housing
no matter what i used pressing them with. After some phone calls i found
out that the pistons screw back into the housing. The hex on my URQ's
pistons was a 12mm and I couldn't find a store which had that. I ended up
using a a torks 60 (biggest star they had at pep boys) and it worked great.
You can leave the top caliper bolt in, swing the caliper upward, and then go
to screwing the piston in. Mine went in clockwise. HTH
Anyone on the forum know how to put the caliper piston boot on? Will the
piston retract far enough into the housing to slide the boot lip in?
Thanks,
Mike Bond
