Prestone Antifreeze question for 1990 200tq

Hmmm...that'd be me perhaps!  I've been running green 'phosphate-free' prestone
since I bought the car three years ago...and it had green in it for the 5 years
before that... Even my mechanic filled it up with green 'something' when I did
the timing belt/h20 pump a year ago, and he's a die-hard VAG parts guy(?!).

I'm due for a change come the summer...I'll throw VAG fluid in it to see what
happens.

Now, is there a neater way of draining the system besides removing the lower
rad hose?
