Thanks Huw, that was kinda my thoughts, just like to have it backed up.... I
have a new idle/wot switch assembly on my desk here... to be fitted
tomorrow, then I will reset the mixture and recheck my timing just to get
everything back to factory, and while I am at the scrapyard at the weekend I
will pull both sensors and keep them handy as I know they are a common
source of problems.

first, fix that dodgy idle switch.

then, at least reset the static mixture while warm and measuring the CPA
current.

and I'd take a look at the temp sender on top of the coolant neck.
