FW: Clutch slave removal

other listers have had success in using a long bar and hammer to get the
clutch slave out with the tranny still under the car.
I lost patience and went medieval on the rubber line going to the clutch
slave, thus allowing me to remove the tranny from under the car, with the
slave still in it. then I could 'persuade' it to come out with a hammer and
punch without the restricted movement that you have when the tranny is still
under the car, but it was still a scary event. I was very concerned about
breaking the aluminum tranny case, in fact I think another lister did break
his just after I did mine
In retrospect, application of heat would likely have made it easier.
Be warned, the rubber hose going to the clutch slave is not cheap..

HTH and good luck

Stephane
