Thought you'd like to hear the update from picking up the 4kq today...

1) Lifters are noisy on start-up, quiet after a 10min drive.  I suspect it's
probably just oil level, but as I didn't have any oil with me didn't bother to
check.  Could be bad lifters too...not such a big deal.

2) Heat blows hot, blower fan squeaks on anything but max speed.  I know a
bearing must be going but wonder if a little spray lube might quiet it down for
a while...BTDT?

3) Definitley has a CV joint bad. I suspect driver's front...Martin, do you
have any used driveshafts you can sell me?  I assume the job is as straight-
forward as the '95 golf I did...  I recall someone saying that you have to mark
driveshafts before removing them, as they're balanced...I know the car got one
new driveshaft in the last year...potential fix?

4) Right rear door doesn't open from the inside or outside. Outside handle
broken.  If you guys have any tricks on how to get into the door, they'd be
much appreciated.

5) Clutch doesn't return well, feels like it needs an adjustment.  Are the
4kq's hydraulic, or cable clutches? I seem to recall that the coupe GT's were
cable...but that doesn't mean much I suppose!

6) As dad drove behind me on the way back to the office I was informed that it
i)drives straight, ii) all lights work and iii) doesn't look bad on me!

7) Right side passenger mirror doesn't work (I don't care!)

I think that's about it...until I get a chance to pick up a bentley or hayes (I
know, I know, buy a bentley) if you guys could help me out with the items above
that'd be great!
